About Us

My graphics career started out with hands-on, on-the-job training in patent illustration, using pencil, and pen & ink. Starting in 1991, I began using illustration software (Macromedia Freehand on the Macintosh platform) to recreate the look of pen & ink on a computer. In 1995, I entered the UC Santa Cruz Graduate program in Science Illustration, followed by an internship in 1997 at National Geographic Magazine. Since then, I have been providing art and animation to clients including Scientific American Magazine, the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, and National Geographic.
